branding

After a decade of researching multi-stakeholder initiatives (MSIs), the organization wanted to take the lessons it learned to promote business models that center workers and communities in their governance and ownership. This new direction required a new brand. Staff spent months struggling to come up with a new name by adding ideas to a shared Google Doc.

Frustrated by the lack of progress, they tasked me with leading the branding process. I created a branding workshop to help staff come up with the organization’s new tone, identity, and name. While all staff members began the session feeling daunted and apprehensive, they left having enjoyed the interactivity, feeling like they were included and listened to, and having ownership in the direction of the evolving organization.

Report

The report covered complicated material and would be distributed to a wide audience. I developed a set of icons and infographics to help simplify these concepts for people who are less familiar with the subject matter. The icons can be used on their own or combined in illustrative graphics.

Note: The report remains a draft. Icons, infographics, and website are not finalized.

Carmen is incredibly talented and quickly understand the vision and needs of the people she works with. She’s a great listener, and brings her skills, strong values and good-humour to every interaction. She produced such fantastic work for our organization, that I also hired her for a some small personal creative project.
